Best Leather Laptop and Office Bags in Pakistan (2026)
Updated September 2026. Written by the Kordovan workshop team in Karachi, where we make these.
Read this first: we are on this list.
Kordovan makes leather laptop and office bags, so we are not neutral. What we can do is tell you what actually determines whether one of these survives five years of daily carry — and it is not the thing most listings talk about. Read the "what fails first" section even if you buy from someone else. It is the part that will save you money.

Bands are indicative and checked in September 2026. We have not published exact competitor prices — they change with every sale, and a stale number is worse than none.
A note on search results. Search "leather laptop bag manufacturer Pakistan" and most of what comes back is business-to-business exporters selling by the container, not shops that will send you one bag. They are legitimate companies and irrelevant to a single purchase. If a site quotes MOQ, minimum order quantity, it is not selling to you.
What a genuine leather laptop bag costs here
A laptop bag takes far more hide than a wallet — a full briefcase uses roughly ten to fifteen square feet, plus lining, padding, a frame in some designs, and a good deal of hardware. The bands follow from that:
- Under Rs 5,000 — PU or bonded, effectively always. There is no version of this maths where a genuine leather laptop bag is made and sold for less.
- Rs 8,000 – 12,000 — a genuine leather sleeve is realistic here. A full structured bag at this price is not.
- Rs 12,000 – 45,000 — the honest band for a genuine leather laptop bag or office briefcase made in Pakistan.
- Above Rs 60,000 — imported labels and designer margin. Rarely better hide than the band below it.
What actually fails first
We repair these under warranty, so this list is from the repair bench rather than from a spec sheet. In order:
- The zip. Not close. A cheap zip on a bag that is opened four times a day will fail inside two years, and it usually takes the bag with it because replacing a full-length zip costs more than most people will pay. Look for a branded zip, or at minimum a heavy metal tooth rather than moulded plastic.
- The strap attachment points. Where D-rings and clips meet the leather is where all the load concentrates. Reinforced, riveted or double-stitched anchors last; a single line of stitching through one layer does not.
- The base corners. A bag gets put down on concrete, thousands of times. Corners that are reinforced or have metal feet survive; unprotected corners wear through to the lining.
- The lining. Fails invisibly from the inside while the outside still looks new. This is why a cheap bag can look fine and be useless.
- The leather. Genuinely last. Full-grain hide outlives every component attached to it.
The uncomfortable conclusion is that the grade of leather — the thing every product page leads with — is close to the least important factor in how long your bag lasts. Judge the metalwork first.
What actually protects your laptop
Leather is abrasion resistant. It is not shock absorbing. A laptop in an unpadded leather bag is a laptop resting against a hard flat panel, and when you set the bag down firmly the machine takes that impact.
What you want is a padded compartment that is suspended — one that holds the laptop clear of the bottom of the bag rather than sitting flush against it. That two-centimetre gap is the single most protective feature in any laptop bag at any price, and plenty of expensive bags do not have it. If a listing does not show the inside of the laptop compartment, ask for a photograph.
Briefcase, messenger, backpack or sleeve?
- Briefcase — the most formal, structured, and the one that looks right in a boardroom. Also the most awkward to carry on a motorcycle and the hardest on one shoulder. Best if you drive to work.
- Messenger — a flap and a cross-body strap. Faster to get into than a briefcase, comfortable one-handed, less formal. The most practical choice for most people who commute.
- Backpack — the only sensible option above about four kilograms. Laptop plus charger plus files plus a water bottle crosses that line quickly, and a backpack is what saves your shoulder.
- Sleeve — no carry handle, goes inside another bag. The cheapest way to add real protection to a laptop you are already carrying in something else.
Sizing: measure the machine, not the screen
Screen size is a diagonal measurement and tells you almost nothing about whether a laptop fits. Two machines both described as fifteen inch can differ by more than two centimetres in width depending on bezel and body.
Measure your laptop's actual width and depth, then allow roughly two centimetres in each direction for padding and the sleeve wall. A compartment that fits your machine exactly is one you will struggle with every single morning.
The Kordovan range
We make these in our own workshop in Malir Cantt, Karachi, in full-grain, natural milled and crazy horse leathers. The range runs from Rs 8,500 for a laptop sleeve, through slim messengers and office bags in the twenties, up to Rs 42,000 for the executive briefcases. Every piece carries a lifetime craftsmanship warranty covering stitching and hardware in normal use — which is precisely the list above.
Bags are ready-made and dispatched from stock, so cash on delivery is available alongside card and JazzCash. Free delivery over Rs 5,500.
Where we are the wrong choice, honestly:
- You want to try the fit with your own laptop first. Only our Karachi shop lets you do that. Everywhere else, measure carefully and check the stated compartment size.
- You need it waterproof. Leather is water resistant, not waterproof. If you ride a bike through monsoon rain daily, buy technical nylon and keep the leather for the office.
- You want the lightest possible bag. Leather weighs more than nylon. An empty full-grain briefcase is a real object before you put anything in it.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a genuine leather laptop bag cost in Pakistan?
Roughly Rs 12,000 to Rs 45,000 for a genuine leather laptop bag or briefcase made locally. A leather sleeve without full bag structure starts lower, around Rs 8,000. Below about Rs 5,000 you are almost certainly buying PU or a bonded blend.
What size laptop bag do I need?
Measure your laptop's width and depth rather than trusting the screen size — a 14 inch machine can be physically larger than a 15 inch one. Then allow about two centimetres in each direction for padding.
Is a leather bag actually good for carrying a laptop?
Leather is abrasion resistant and outlasts nylon by years, but leather alone does not protect against a drop. What protects a laptop is a padded compartment that holds it clear of the bottom of the bag. Check for that before you check the hide.
Briefcase, messenger or backpack for the office?
A briefcase is the most formal and the most awkward on a bike. A messenger is quicker to get into and easier one-handed. A backpack spreads weight across both shoulders and is the only sensible option above about four kilograms — which laptop plus charger plus files reaches quickly.
What fails first on a leather laptop bag?
The zip, almost always. Then the strap attachment points where hardware meets leather. The hide itself is rarely the problem, which is why the metalwork deserves more attention than the grade of leather.
Can I buy a leather office bag on cash on delivery?
Most Pakistani leather retailers including us offer cash on delivery on ready-made bags. Confirm before ordering, since made-to-order pieces are usually paid online — they cannot be resold if refused at the door.
The bottom line
Buy the bag that fits your laptop with room to spare, check the zip before you check the leather, and look for a suspended padded compartment rather than a flat pocket. Get those three right and almost any genuine leather bag in the Rs 12,000 to 45,000 band will still be working in five years. Get them wrong and the grade of hide will not save you.
