A wallet is the one piece of leather you reach for every single day, so it is the one that shows whether you bought well. Ours are cut and hand-stitched in Pakistan from full-grain, nappa and crazy horse hide — leathers that do not merely survive daily carry but improve with it, darkening at the fold and along the edge into a patina that is yours alone.

What a real leather wallet costs in Pakistan

"Genuine leather" is the least meaningful phrase in this market — it is a grade name, not a promise, and it is printed on split hide and on bonded scrap alike. Price is the more honest signal:

• Under Rs 800 — PU or bonded leather. It will crack along the fold within a year, because the fold is where a coating fails first.
• Rs 800 – 1,500 — split leather, the soft under-layer of the hide, usually pigment-coated. Real, but the weakest part of the skin.
• Rs 1,500 – 7,000 — where full-grain and top-grain begins, and where our range sits: Rs 1,499 to Rs 6,500 depending on the leather and the construction.

Our simplest wallets start at Rs 1,499; the hand-stitched full-grain pieces such as the Stallion and the Bronco run to Rs 6,500. The difference is not branding — it is which layer of the hide it was cut from and whether a machine or a person put the stitches in.

How to tell real leather before you pay

• Look at the edge. Real leather shows fibrous, slightly rough grain through the cut edge. PU shows a clean plastic sheet over a fabric backing.
• Press the surface. Hide creases and springs back, and the tone shifts as it stretches. Coated synthetic stays flat and uniform.
• Look at the pores. Irregular on real hide; repeating on printed PU, because it comes off a roll.
• Smell it. The one test nobody has managed to fake convincingly.

Which wallet suits how you carry

• Bifold — the default, and still the best for cash plus six to eight cards. Try the Bastion or the Gator.

Care, and how long it should last

A full-grain wallet should outlast a decade of daily use. Keep it out of a back pocket you sit on — the constant flex, not age, is what kills stitching — and condition it lightly once or twice a year. It will get darker and softer, and that is the leather working correctly, not wearing out.
