Leather Caps for Men in Pakistan
A leather cap is one of the few accessories that genuinely improves with age. Sheep leather is light enough to wear in Karachi heat and soft enough that it takes the shape of your head rather than sitting on it — which is why we use it rather than the stiffer cowhide most caps are cut from.
Baseball or flat cap?
- Baseball cap — adjustable at the back, structured crown, curved peak. Casual, and the more forgiving of the two on fit.
- Flat cap (newsboy) — softer, rounder, sits closer to the head. Reads smarter, and works with a jacket in a way a baseball cap does not.
Caring for it
Keep it out of direct sun for long periods — heat dries leather out faster than wear does. If it gets wet, let it dry away from heat rather than on a radiator, and stuff the crown so it holds shape. Condition it once or twice a year and it will outlast every fabric cap you own.
